Historic Term Cards

Debating, speaker events, and social gatherings have been at the heart of the Union since its inception. Below are a selection of Term Cards from years gone by.

This is a work in progress and we will be uploading new term cards on an ongoing basis. We welcome donations of term cards which we haven’t digitised. Please email us to discuss options.

Please note that term cards are not accurate representations of events as they happened: then, as now, speakers often changed at the last minute. The Oxford Union retains copyright to these documents unless expressly specified otherwise. For queries contact: library@oxford-union.org
